Holding Hands
And so, the predicted answers proceeds the first post. Many of the replies, if not all, were negative. Answers like 'No, I won't hold his/her hands UNLESS I LIKE HIM/HER.' The replies were understandable considering the wrong signal the move could result to.
Anyway, what caught my eyes were these replies:
A forumer was replying the threadstarter and goes on to say, "...I dun like the idea of holding hands when cross roads then like that consider together liao. Its like, why cant they have some ba**s to ask me properly instead of resorting to tricks like that..."
Then another forumer replied to that post saying, "..another one is hold ur hand in cinema when u say u are cold...."
This last post suddenly brings back memories of my first year in poly. Time for some story telling.. -_-
That time we were having class in a computer lab. Don't know why but my hands were really feeling cold at that moment. So, naturally I rub my two hands together to make it warmer. Then when she asked me why I rub my hands, I told her I was feeling cold. She then grabbed my hands and held in with both her hands. Mind you though, that there was a lesson going on and we were to do some discussion. She held it for quite some time, even to the point that the lecturer saw it, and I must admit it did make my hands a little warmer. After and because of that incident, I started to develop feelings for her coz I thot she had some feelings for me too. But as the history proved, it was just a conjecture on my part and I was too assuming. Or did I?
Based on the responses from the KT thread, one wouldn't do what she had done if she had no feelings for me. Okay, granted that she may the outgoing, friendly type but I dun think even the most friendliest person would do the above. Furthermore, I never even ask her to hold my hands! As a result of her actions, I received the wrong signals and because of that, I had to carry a broken heart for a year plus. One thing I will never know is why she held my hands if she had no feelings? Was I being too assuming OR did the fault lies with the wrong signal sent?
Would you hold the hands of your opposite sex friend under these circumstances(my situation and that of the KT forumer)? Views, anyone?
Anyway, I've decided not to delete this blog...... just yet.
