Life of a Telephone Operator

Being a telephone operator is not easy. Being a POLICE telephone operator is more difficult. So far, throughout my time being an operator, I've experienced many different types of callers. From the rude, disrespectful ones to the courteous, appreciative ones. Yesterday, though, I experienced something which I've never came across before. There's this lady who called to enquire about something (which I forgotten what exactly is it about.. lol) and before she ended the call, she said, "Thanks dear." I was a little shocked upon hearing that coz this is the first time such things happen. Maybe that's the way she talked but who would have guessed that someone would say such things in a police hotline! hahaa...

And this incident reminds me of another one which happen not too long ago. There's this female caller who called the hotline several times to complain about something. She complained, complained and complained throughout our conversation BUT at the end of our last conversation, she thanked me and said I'm very courteous when talking to her. HAHA!

Oh ya, yesterday, I got audited by the SQB. It was a surprise coz I wasn't informed of any auditing that was going on. So, when that particular caller called in and said he wanted to complain about an NPC, I noted the details he gave me and then I transferred him over to the SQB side. He called back some time later telling me that it was an audit. Phew, luckily I did not scold him or what... hehe..

I received weird calls everyday.....

There's this girl from this food stall whom I can see was nervous when she was handling me yesterday. I felt strange coz I thought I was the only one around who would feel nervous when I come near certain girls.. hahaa.. prety pretty =P
