Melbourne - Part 2

HmMm, since got time now, shall continue my Melbourne updates..

Trip to Melbourne - Part 2

For the 2nd and third week, nthg much and exciting really happened.. Some of the days, we went to Queen Victoria Market where there is a wholesale of souvenir stuffs.. How many times we went here since the first day - countless! haaa... Always got things to buy.. And yeah, during these two weeks, there's also steamboat sessions which i shall not go into it again.. lolx.. But one thing I have to highlight is, I cooked for people for the first time on Day 9!! Yuppz, I 'managed' to cook chicken curry for the rest, although i tink there's not really enough for everyone.. Guess it was okay for my first try.. Nobody got diarrhea rite?? hehee..

Anyway, there's a couple of field trips to water and wastewater treatment plants.. How interesting eh? lolx.. Learnt anything? Got lah, abit.. But I guess the main priority for us was to enjoy the sceneries and take photos.. hahaa.. Oh yar, during one of the days, i went to visit the City Mosque.. The mosque there ain't that big as compared to those in Sg but i guess the basic necessities are there..

Oh btw, I forgot to mention this. On the 2nd Saturday, Prof Phillip Mariott, the person from RMIT who's overall in-charge of our stay here, brought us to a football game. Nope, it's not a normal football or soccer game that you always see here.. Their game is a little bit different and unique.. To score points, you'll have to kick the ball into these two posts and to pass to a team-mate, you can either kick or throw.. I would say, it's like American football, soccer and rugby combined into one.. lolx.. The game was quite interesting I would say, especially when you are among 44,000 screaming spectators.. YEah, the Telstra Dome was that packed!! hahaaa.. The feelings and atmosphere were certainly different from watching the game on TV.. We certainly have to thank Prof Mariott for this enjoyable experience..

The game inside the Dome..If you are alert enough, you could see the high attendance which filled the Dome -_-
Oh yar, forget to add also.. the third week was mostly work, work and work in the environmental labs.. Playing and meddling with soils to be exact.. haaa.. But some of the work done was quite fun actually and informative.. And of course, the Masters' student we were attached to always have jokes to share.. That, as well as the ability to listen to the radio while doing experiments, really perks up our daily mood despite the sometimes boring work..

The tram!! Rode on it quite a lot of times, be it the city circle free ones or the paid ones.. Wouldn't it be great if Sg has such facilities..lolx...
