The day draws near
Time for some updates!! haha
Been busy these past few weeks with NUS stuffs and work-related thingy due to my upcoming transition from NS to student life. Yeah, i'm only left with about 2 more tours before I'm back to civilian again! hahaa
Didn't work last night shift (I wish I had work! lol) coz on thursday I was having this so called 'ORD function' for one full day. Not sure why I'm included in this event and receive the certificate of appreciation on stage also as I know my ORD date certainly is still far far away.. haha! Anyway, it was quite a boring day, other than the food, as I had to listen to all the 'recruitment talks' when I already know what I'm doing after NS. They should have made this thing optional man! lol..
Earlier in the day, I had this 'Qualifying English Test' at NUS in the morning. This test is so called to evaluate how good our english is. And if we did badly, we had to take up additional English modules on top of our faculty requirements! And ya, I was not prepared to take the test at all cos it's been donkey years since I did similar tests. Anyway, I reached the venue early, as always! lol.. And to my amazement, there were alot of soon-to-be-undergraduates outside the examination halls waiting to take the test. It feels like I was in a club, except that this 'club' is open-air. haha! Anyway, the test was quite difficult la, and the topic was 'biotechnology'. Wah seh, I have to rack my brains, thinking hard what to write for the essay. In the end, I just let whatever that comes to mind and transfer them to my ink, in sync. Anyway, when the time was up, I did not manage to answer a couple of editing questions which amount to 2 marks. But nvm, everything has been done and I could only hope for the best! =) Oh, did I mention that the ratio of those who attended the test earlier was like 70%women 30%men! And did I also mention that earlier while walking to the examination venue, there's this girl who asked me for directions to the venue. And as it turns out, her venue was the same as mine! Sometimes, it's funny how life is! heh
After the test, went to MS to do some shopping. Yeah, for the last past week, I've been going out every day either to settle admin stuff or to shop! hahaa.. Anyway, managed to buy my stationery case at 'The Wallet Shop' just now. Thankfully, the shopping centre wasn't crowded coz I don't like crowds!! haha.. Anyway, this latest item has brought my total damage so far to s$370++!! And I presume it will increase much more as I still have a couple of things I've yet to buy. But thankfully, it is still under my budget lah coz I've decided to struck off some items from my shopping list! Yeah!
All right, that's it for now. Tmr will be my last 5 shifts!! hahahaa...
