Got to know my 2nd SS quiz result earlier in the morning. And yes, I've made an improvement! Although it's just a 'barely pass' grade, nonetheless, it's still a pass!! And I'm just glad that I did not fail again. Although I'm abit envious of my friends getting much higher grades, I'm still contented that I've improved. I guess it doesn't matter how others around you did. The most important thing is to compete with yourself and try to do better each time. There's a saying that goes something like, "Compete with yourself, not others, to achieve." And I shall abide by this principle. =)School work has been pretty hectic these few weeks. I still have 1 term paper, 1 assignment, few reports and lots of catching ups to do!! Arrgghh, if only there's an additional hour each day, then I'll have more time! *Excuses* hahahaa...Btw, it's the 1st of April tmr!! Wooohoo! Happy April Fools' Day!! haha.. Oh, btw, the family had a small birthday celebration for Alya's 3rd year last week. So fast the little one is growing up! Mum prepared yummylicious food until I ate too much and fell sick. Fortunately, the virus went away overnight. Phew. Anyway, the fact that Alya's birthdate has past, means that mine is coming soon!! Dear, oh dear!! Up by a digit, I'm feeling so old!!! haiz.... Can't believe I've been a resident of this earth for this long! lolKlah, I think I better get back to my school work now. Ciao!------------------------------------------------------------After a while, common sense is telling me that they are just mere coincidence. Are they? Hmmm..
I won't deny it. I'm still a bit bothered about getting my first ever 'F' grade in the 22 years of my life. Finding out that the friends around me having grades on the other end of the scale, As and Bs, have furthered reignite the disappointment within me.I'm not sure what went wrong. I did study for the quiz. In fact, much more in advance than the type of revision I did last semester. I did go through the book. I did go through the notes. Furthermore, it was an open-book exam. Yet, I still failed and got the lowest grade that anyone can get. Maybe I'm not as clever as the others. Maybe I'm just plain blind not to see where the answers were. Or maybe, I'm just stupid. Nevertheless, I'll continue to study hard for the quiz and the exam. I'll continue to try and prepare early for them. And I'll continue to be hopeful and optimistic of the outcome. But if all that fails, then I'll consider quitting...I'm feeling a little giddy now, having gone under the rain earlier in the day. Gotta rest. Ciao!Even if there's no one supporting me, I'll still continue to walk. I'll continue to walk on this lonely path....
Darn! It has happened again!Bad news follow each time I've made an update about something good.I've failed my first ever test ever since I've been to the uni. Yes, I've got an F grade! Not even a C or a D but an F!! And it constitutes 20% of the total grade. I guess I just have to work extra hard and pray and hope that it will be enough to compensate this first test. Sigh. And yes, the bad day got compounded as my beloved Man U got humiliated 1-4 at home to our arch-rival Liverpool. Terrible defending, luckless, a red card, on this forgettable night. The result by itself is not really a disaster since the team is still leading with 4 points with a game in hand. But I guess the compounding effect of knowing earlier I've got an F is making it worse.I've also realised that I'm still lacking in the understanding of the biochemistry module. I thought I was doing all right but after doing the assessment, for which I flunked, it made me realise that my knowledge is far from being enough. Sigh.Maybe I shouldn't have blog about something that is entirely not finished yet. Maybe I should have seen the signs. Maybe it's just not my day. Well, life does not revolve around the word 'maybe'. Those things have happened and no matter how hard they are, I just have to accept them.Tomorrow will be a better day. The sun will rise and shines mother earth once more. Hope, something that I still have.
Something happened in the train just now that irked me. There were a group of children from a special school, which I forget its name, in the same carriage and they, being children, were talking loudly. Then this uncle who was sitting in front of me (I was standing) stood up and went to tap one of them and ask them to shut up!! Can you believe it? He ask them to shut up!! Firstly, he does not own the blardy train! Secondly, as far as I know, there are no laws stating that you cannot talk loudly in the train! What right does he have to ask them to keep silent! Please lah, I'm sure neither the MRT staff nor any law enforcer are empowered to throw off passengers just because they speak loudly in the train. If you just can't stand the noise, just get off the freaking train lah!! Please be more understanding, uncle! Those children did not ask to be born that way. And I'm sure some of them can't control their loud talking or their emotions. Please have more patience. They are fellow human beings too. They have as much right to do stuffs as other normal children. If only our citizens have more empathy, I guess Singapore will be a better place to live in.----------------------------------------------------Week 8 has just finished but strangely, I'm not feeling the stress which I felt last sem. Despite the heavy workload, I don't have a strong reason to press the panic button any time soon. Somehow, I feel weird. Maybe it has to do with my early preparations as compared to the previous sem that helped me to stay calm. That being said, I think time management is extremely important if you wanna do well in your life. All right, dunno what else to update. haha. Till next time, ciao!I miss receiving happiness that is induced by someone! lol
The past week has been a hectic one. Had a term test on Thursday and another the next day. So my week was pretty much spent on revising the two quizzes whenever I had free time. The first test turned out to be difficult for me. Although it's an open book, some of the questions set seemed alien to me and the fact that negative marking were incorporated further escalate the difficulty in getting the correct answers. Earlier before the test, had to skip a lecture cos I overshot my practical by more than an hour. Oh well.... The quiz on Friday was more manageable, though I did not complete one of the questions. After the test ended, I headed straight to Lot 1 at CCK to spend some time loitering before going to Bt Panjang for Rizal's solemnisation. It has been more than half-a-year since I've been to that place and boy has it changed much! Although I past by the shopping centre everyday when I went to school via the train, I didn't expect the interior to change that much. The place has always been a nostalgic place for me ever since I left my secondary school. Thumbs up to the development though!Reached Rizal's void-deck at around 7.45 and found no one familar in sight. So, had to wait a while until my ex-teammates arrived. Some of them arrived around 8pm and it was definitely great to see them after more than 7 months. Had a good time catching up with each other and hear interesting stories (as always) here and there. This is precisely the sort of thing I've been missing ever since I stepped back into the studying world! How I wish I was still part of the team, working and be more carefree than I am now. Rizal, the groom, later came down after his solemnisation. Saw his right hand being casted. Not that surprising, seeing how he had experience many accidents during my time in the team, but I feel he should ride more carefully though now that he is married. It was a simple ceremony but it does make me think when and how my wedding will be like. Hmmm.... Haikal send me home after we left. Thanks bro! Miss sitting in your car! haha... Had weird dreams that night. All the formulas and theories for the module which I had the test earlier that day decided to visit my dreamland. And I can't sleep well and woke up earlier than normal, for a weekend.Things have not been going pretty well for me this past few weeks. Sometimes, when I feel that life is going smoothly, certain events will cause it to take an unexpected twist. Learning how other people were successful in their 309s is depressing too. Life is unpredictable. But we must cherish it.
Not sure why but I feel someone has been avoiding me. I really wonder what wrong did I do though.. Hmmm....
